How can animals benefit from Reiki?
Every living thing can benefit from Reiki. Every living thing is made of energy. The list of benefits can be long and personal. Nothing has to be “wrong” to feel the benefits of Reiki.
Our animal friends bring us so much into our lives. Their joy and contentment of living is an example to us. Their unconditional love reminds us of how we should live our own lives. Offering Reiki to our animal friends is a way we can give something back to them for all that they have given us. I use Reiki on my own animal family member on a regular basis.
Animals respond well to Reiki. Just like with humans, Reiki can be used for all types of injuries, illnesses, ease pain, and soothe and calm highly-strung, hyperactive or stressed animals. Most animals are also treated by their traditional veterinary care. Reiki sessions promote speedier healing of physical trauma, remove pain from the animal’s body, and relieve stress and bring balance. Treatments with animals rarely last as long as human sessions; they absorb Reiki energy a lot easier. They will usually not sit or lay still for the entire session. Some animals will wander off after a few minutes and others will sit or lay there the whole session.
What do animals experience during Reiki?
Pets offer several signs of acceptance of Reiki energy that can be observed. An animal may sniff, lick one or either hands or they may rub against them as well. Animals will enter into a deep state of relaxation almost immediately. Animals may rest their head or paws in the hands or even lie flat on their backs once the energy starts flowing. Unusual changes in your pet’s behavior during a session will validate for you that the energy is being received. As always, it will be different for each animal being treated.
Reiki and Animal Adoptions
If you have adopted an animal from a shelter or rescue group and would like Reiki sent to your companion for two weeks to help them settle in to their new home, please email a photo with the animal’s name and age. If there is no photo available please call or email me with the name, age and description of the animal.
Can my animal have a Reiki session anywhere?
The best setting for a Reiki session with animals is in their home. They will be more relaxed in their own environment which will lead to a better session for them. Reiki can be given in your veterinarian’s office to help support the healing of illnesses, injuries, surgeries, or other issues. Reiki sessions can also be provided to animals that are being boarded as well. Please obtain approval of the veterinarian or owner of facility in advance. Although Reiki can be a wonderful healing modality on its own, it is used to complement regular veterinary care, not to replace it.

Reiki in your Home, Vet’s Office, Barn or Kennel: 30 Minutes - $40.00
60 Minutes - $70.00
Outcalls limited to 30 miles from Green Valley (Mileage fee of $15.)
Distant Healings: 30 Minutes - $30.00

Same Day/Emergency Appointments: $70.00 per half an hour
Aromatherapy: $10.00 with session
