Reiki
Relax your Body, Mind and Spirit
Reiki is a hands on form of healing, it can also be done off the body.
Reiki is the universal life
force energy used by the Reiki therapist to balance and amplify energy
for the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well being of
the recipient. The Reiki
therapist is used as a channel/conduit to draw energy from the universe,
through the palms of her hands to the recipients’ chakras, aura, glands,
and major organs. Reiki will enhance energy, reduce stress, anxiety and
fatigue, relieves pain, and speeds up the healing process.
What can I expect during a Reiki Healing session?
You will be lying fully clothed on a treatment table. The Reiki
therapist begins the session with soothing music playing in the
background and she places their hands lightly on your head. She will
then move from your head down to your torso until the therapist reaches
your feet. You will notice her
hands will feel warm and deeply soothing.
This energy will bring a sense
of ease into your body and an inner quiet to your mind, letting go of
the busy-ness of your day, sometimes relaxing you into a state of deep,
restful sleep.
What can I expect after a Reiki Treatment?
After your Reiki treatment you will feel centered, in touch with
oneself. You will experience a deep sense of peace; feel very relaxed
with an enhanced feeling of well-being.
As with any therapeutic treatment, clients are advised to drink plenty
of water afterwards, and to relax after the Reiki treatment.
The client should refrain from
any excessive lifting, exercise or overexertion.
How can I benefit from Reiki?
Every living thing can benefit from Reiki.
Every living thing is made of
energy. The list of benefits can
be long and personal. Nothing
has to be “wrong” to feel the benefits of Reiki.
Reiki can be used as a “tune up” for the body maintaining a healthy flow
of energy. Reiki also assists in
helping you feel more motivated, less depressed or anxious, along with
relief from side effects of medications, radiation, or chemotherapy.
Unlike conventional medicine, Reiki does not attack any disease; rather
it supports our well being and strengthens our natural ability to heal
our body by encouraging balance.
Reiki may not be the only help you need, so it is important to know that
Reiki combines well with interventions such as medications and surgery.
Reiki might even strengthen the
benefits from other health interventions helping your system regain
balance and increasing your sense of well-being.
There is never a time when Reiki is dangerous, even when a physical cure
seems impossible, Reiki can still bring healing of some type.
For example, people with chronic
pain may aim to be painless, and are grateful for any reduction in the
intensity of their pain. Reiki
can benefit any living thing, no matter what age or health.
How Many Treatments is Enough?
There should be several Reiki treatments in a row. Eight is recommended
with a monthly tune-up. In
acute conditions, the more Reiki the better.
There is evidence that in
such situations, eight hours of Reiki treatment equals 10-15 days of
natural regrowth of the bones! Reiki is at its best when applied in
conjunction with other medical and alternative methods. |
